Tease & Torment Explore temptation, anticipation and the building of erotic tension in ropes// Weekend workshop at IKSK// with Roxu & Ena Dahl

Charm me. Furiously.

Torment me. In detail.
—Hermann Hesse

We’re pleased to invite you to a weekend-long immersion into the arts of tantalizing teasing and titillating torment in ropes. Spread over two full days we’ll move from seductive floorwork where we build and hold erotic tension and create anticipation to spicy partials and predicaments where pleasure and torment intertwine.

Saturday: Charm Me. Furiously.

There are other ways to torment your partner in ropes than via pain and physical challenge. On Saturday we explore the art of teasing your rope partner, if not to death, then at least to the brink of madness ;) You’ll learn to build and hold erotic tension, create anticipation, get into your partner’s head and play with tease and denial through exercises in touch, movement, rope and body handling.

The Game of Seduction and Anticipation
On the first day we step away from technical and structured Shibari and dive into the art of playing with the mind, desire, and tension. We challenge the need for instant gratification and explore what happens in the space where pleasure is denied, delayed, and transformed into insatiable hunger.
Anticipation is at the core of this experience; the moment before something happens, the precise pause where desire intensifies. We will create that state of expectation and longing within our rope play.

There is no fulfillment that is not made sweeter for the prolonging of desire
― Jacqueline Carey

Sunday: Torment Me. In Detail.

On day two we move beyond caressing rope and dive into the realm of spicy, tormenting partials, exploring predicaments designed to awaken and ignite desire—and perhaps stir some inner demons as well… We’ll move within that space where each choice comes at a price, every movement demands effort, and each pause reveals more than it hides.
Not about enduring for the sake of suffering, but about enjoying the edge; the meaningful discomfort, where pleasure and torment intertwine and the gaze becomes yet another restraint.

Exploring the Edge
What happens when we tether the edge; when we enter that space where the boundary between pain and pleasure blurs, where despair bleeds into joy, where time stops and becomes infinite all at once? Are you ready to find out?
Whether model or rigger will sweat more is yet to be determined, but this day will be more challenging for both, both technically and emotionally. This class calls for your full presence, mutual trust and excellent communication skills as you’ll be asked to step all the way up to the edge of your (dis)comfort zones, and perhaps a bit beyond?

How and what you will learn

Though we will move through exercises and demonstrate a series of patterns and sequences, these workshops are just as much about the why—concepts, principles and philosophy—as it is about the how. Consider this weekend an invitation to explore connection and provocation through rope. This is not just about doing Shibari; it’s about inhabiting it; being present in every touch, every look, and in every silence that lingers just a second longer than expected.

Some of the elements we’ll move through include:

Time and rhythm

Slow movements that drive frustration, changes in pace that confuse and surprise.

Touch and absence of touch

Approaching without making contact, playing with distance, provoking with fingertips before pulling away again.

Control over the partner’s body

Moving, handling and restricting through rope and physical presence, guiding the experience through contact.

Eye contact and voice

Paying attention, listening to our partner, watching, narrating, emphasizing vulnerability or desire without physical contact.

Practical

Level
Intermediate.

For Saturday, riggers must be familiar with the single and double column ties, basic frictions and safe uplines for partials, as well as decent rope and body handling. Sunday requires a solid TK (any style) and knowledge of basic structures and harnesses for semi suspension. You will get the most out of the workshop if you are fluent enough to pick up new concepts and patterns fairly fast and without a thorough step-by-step tutorial of each technical step. Rope bottoms should be familiar with being tied and possess good body awareness and have the ability to communicate clearly with their riggers.

Who is it for
This workshop is perfect for couples, duos and (play) partners who desire to deepen their erotic rope practice, to play, explore, feel, and surrender to desire and yearning through rope. While it is possible to come solo to this workshop and be paired with another single attendee, the nature of this workshop is deeply intimate and you may therefore get more out of it attending with someone you feel comfortable with already. Beyond that, we aim to create and hold an inclusive, safer space where all sexes, genders, orientations, ages, and bodies are welcome.

Equipment
At least 4 jute or hemp ropes for Saturday and around 8 ropes for Sunday, 7-8 meters in length. Safety shears.

Dress code
Dress to undress. Partial nudity and exposure is welcome, but not expected or required. Keep in mind that layers—and clothes that unbutton or unwrap—may make undressing even more fun ;)

Roxu

A passionate practitioner and learner since he discovered Shibari in 2016, Roxu has traveled near and far in pursuit of new knowledge and inspiration. Eventually disheartened by the lack of offers in and around his home city of Murcia, southern Spain, he went onto co-founding his own rope studio, Espacio Takibi, where he organizes jams, workshops, and study groups.

Now relocated to Berlin, Roxu blends influences from Aibunawa and Semenawa into a personal style that is as seductive as it is precise. Highly attuned and full of curiosity in his approach, the way he ties is a dance between technical control and erotic intensity, designed to provoke deep emotional and physical responses.

Ena Dahl

Raised in Oslo and based in Berlin, Ena is a sensualist and multidisciplinary creatrix; a conscious kink educator, author, bodyworker and rope (s)witch. She’s been active in the kink and BDSM scenes since 2017, and with Shibari since 2020, through which she reconnected with her sexuality, causing her to change her career from the commercial to the sensual arts.

With a professional background in communication design, Ena is a creative storyteller regardless of her medium, weaving narrative into her work with kink and sexuality to create content—writing, experiences, workshops and sessions—that are as immersive as they are educational. Motivated by the transformational potential of authentic self expression and the unlimited power found in connecting to our innate sexual energy, she is known for her deeply intimate and intuitive approach, emphasizing connection, observation and communication in ropes.

Ena and Roxu met at
The European Rigger & Model Exchange (Eurix) in Berlin in the spring of 2024 where they instantly connected over a shared passion for long, drawn out teasing in (and out of) ropes and have since been traveling across Europe to tie, give workshops and perform together. Their joint approach, whether in the direction of Semenawa, Aibunawa or something else entirely, is undogmatic and exploratory; each tie together is a conversation based on a desire to dig deeper and uncover more.
