Ein performativer Workshop über Wut und Selbstermächtigung// A performative Workshop about Rage and Self-Empowerment

scroll down for english

Wir wollen wissen: Was macht dich wütend?

This workshop is aimed at people of all genders. Because patriarchal structures affect us all in different ways!

It is a workshop, a ritual, and a collective game with the power of rage. Can we transform our frustration, our anger into determination and resilience?

“Female Rage” is not new—it has always been there: women and feminine-read individuals who express anger were and are considered hysterical, uncontrolled, or dangerous. Female rage is suppressed, shamed, trivialized, pathologized. In this workshop, we bring it out of the shadows, celebrate it, question it, embody it.

Rage is not the problem – it is often the answer. A reaction to boundary violations, oppression, discrimination, ignorance. We invite you to explore your rage. The small, the big. The shamefully hidden, the loudly boiling over. The one you were never allowed to show. The one that protects you. The one that paralyzes you. The one that liberates you.

In this workshop, we will dive deep. Not analytically, not distantly – but physically, vocally, playfully, lustfully. We want to know: What makes you angry? How does this anger feel in your stomach, your neck, your pelvis? What form does it take when you allow it to breathe, to speak, to roar? What story does it carry within it? How does it sound when you give it your voice?

“Female Rage” is not merely a feeling—it is a cry against patriarchal structures that regulate bodies, desire, and emotions. It is resistance against being taught to be mild, to be quiet, to please others. It demands the right to be angry as a form of self-empowerment and as a path to collective change.

Together with Noemi and Felix —actress, dancer / choreographer, BDSM practitioner— we explore the possibilities of embodying rage sensually, performatively, and artistically. We work with elements from psychodrama and role-playing, with voice and movement, with Bodywork and BDSM practices. We encounter rage through friction and rebellion, through sweat, shame, fear and also lust - in a space that is neither harmless nor dangerous, but alive, negotiable, and real.

You are allowed to play, provoke, observe, break out. You are allowed to be quiet or loud. You are allowed to leave and come back. All you need is the willingness to surprise yourself—and a little bit of courage to give space to the fire within You.

Noemi

Noemi discovered Shibari in 2019 and has been involved mainly as a model ever since. What interests her most about Shibari is the playful and creative aspect as well as the physical challenge and immediacy. Her training as a professional actress and dancer provides her with valuable skills, which she passes on eloquently and humorously in workshops. She sees Shibari as an artistic collaboration at eye level and impressively embodies the active and creative aspect of the model role. She is part of the Rope community at the IKSK in Berlin where she also appears regularly as a performer.

Felix Ruckert
Felix Ruckert is a dancer, choreographer, conceptual artist and curator. He creates events, performs, gives lectures and teaches workshops, often fusing his knowledge from dance with an unique approach to practices of BDSM and conscious sexuality. He also enjoys making music.

He started as a dancer working with several renowned companies (VA Wölfl, Mathilde Monnier, Pina Bausch’s Wuppertaler Tanztheater) before concentrating on choreography, conceptual work and choreographic installations. Between 1993 and 2008 he created more than 30 evening length performances for his Berlin based company; some of those toured worldwide. He strongly influenced the performing arts by expanding the stage to the physical body of the audience and giving it an active role in his performances. He was a pioneer in investigating subjects such as Gender, Sexuality and Power on the dance stage. His experimental dance pieces, his participatory work and his choreographies for ballet companies earned him an international reputation as one of the most versatile and innovative contemporary choreographers.

Felix main interests are the endless possibilities of the human body. He studied Ballet, Modern and Contemporary dance, Improvisation, Feldenkrais, Pilates, Continuum Movement, Yoga, Chi Kung, Kyudo, Tao Yoga, Massage techniques, Tantra, Kinbaku, Choir and Solo Singing and much more. In the last twenty years he became well known for his practical and theoretical investigation of BDSM and the exploration of connections between BDSM techniques and artistic practices, developing an art of touch and a philosophy of sensual communication.

From 2007 to 2016 he directed the art venue schwelle7 in Berlin as a fusion of a kinky club, a dance studio and a private living room: a permanent performance on the threshold between the private and the public. schwelle7 also produced many performances and workshops with Japanese masters and therefore played a major role in the popularization of Kinbaku – Japanese Rope Bondage- in Europe.

Since 2004 Felix directs the annual festival xplorein Berlin and curates its international branches, with 35 editions in seven countries so far. Since 2012 he also directs EURIX – The European Rigger&Model Exchange, a bi-annual festival in Berlin dedicated to the development of Rope Bondage as an art form. In October 2020 Felix opened a new venue in Berlin at Holzmarkt, the IKSK – Institut für Körperforschung und sexuelle Kultur (Institute for Body Research and Sexual Culture). In January 2025, in collaboration with Dr. Peter Banki, Judith Salamander and Matthias Gockel he curated and organized the first edition of the DEATH FESTIVAL BERLIN.
