mouth massage : (an)other penetration

When was the last time someone really gave attention to your mouth... in a massage?

Somatically, the mouth and face are full of nerve endings and sensitivities. Socially the face is highly charged. We communicate with it, we try to control it, some cover it in makeup and/or stylized facial hair. And our mouth is this fascinating gateway to our insides, a deliciously wet cave with protective teeth and that cheeky little tongue that seems to have a mind of its own.

What happens when we let somebody carefully touch it, move it, go inside it?

We’ll explore how to massage the face and mouth—both from the outside and gently inside.
In this guided step-by-step massage evening, you’ll learn:

  • The basics of face and mouth anatomy (just enough to know where to go and what to avoid)
  • How to create a space where you feel safe enough to let go (because fingers in your mouth are weird unless you feel relaxed)
  • Body positioning and how to sit comfortably when massaging
  • What kinds of touch feel potentially good, kinky, relaxing, erotic - switch the dial depending on where you want this bodywork to go
  • How to go slow
  • How to communicate consent non-verbally (as one's mouth is occupied…)
  • How to take care of hygiene and, if wanted, use gloves
  • Why this kind of massage is not only about technique, but about tuning in

This is a workshop for anyone who wants to get curious about a part of the body we usually skip over in full-body-massages. It’s inviting you to be present, playful, and respectful. And to honour the potency of this work, we will dedicate time at the end for integration.

What happens to you when you let someone open your mouth?

BIO`S:

Beate is a writer, psychosocial counselor and workshop facilitator at www.luhmendarc.com. Her workshops are experiments in staying with complexity – not resolving it, but considering it as an invitation: understanding it as a creative, erotic, powerful source. As a cultural theorist who received training in various somatic fields she brings attention for social contexts, ambiguities and aesthetic qualities of intimacy.
Together with Rebecca she is currently preparing her September retreat “Tantra with a pinch of salt”, queering up tantra massage in dialogue, not dogma.
