Silent Hunger: The Feeding
At some point, hunger stops being about food and starts being about control. What would happen if you didn’t immediately negotiate with it?
You pass by an amazing bakery on your way home and you see your favourite freshly made croissants in the window, but you already ate.
You hear your stomach growling and decide to wait until later.
You crave something salty, hot, greasy, but settle for something “healthier” instead which doesn’t fully satisfy you.
We all know hunger, and we all have to feed ourselves. But hunger rarely stays a simple sensation in the body that signals what we crave for. It becomes a decision, a rule, a negotiation that quietly trains how we ask, wait, take, or go without.
We learn how to quiet it.
We eat oatmeal instead of the fries we are craving.
We watch porn instead of having sex.
We scroll instead of sleeping.
We ask for a hug when what we wanted was to be held and ugly cry in someone’s lap.
We learn to live on crumbs and avoid naming what we truly want, because what we truly want is often too much, too risky, too exposing, too inconvenient, or simply not available.
So we settle for something else and call it enough.
It takes courage to ask without knowing if you will be fed.
Silent Hunger is an experimental workshop exploring what happens when you stop managing your own nourishment for a moment, through the simple act of feeding and allowing yourself to be fed.
Over the course of a weekend, we place our appetite into a shared space and take time to experience waiting, craving, control, shame, satisfaction and fulfillment. You are invited to inquire about your hunger, to feed and be fed, to witness and be witnessed wanting, refuse what is offered, or not, to discover what sits behind your wanting when nourishment isn’t entirely managed in advance.
Silent Hunger: The Feeding doesn’t promise resolution or fairness. You may be met. You may not be. Nourishment may be delayed, redirected, or withheld. You may receive what you asked for, something else, or nothing at all.

–
We aim to hold a trauma-aware and consent-based space where consent and choice are fundamental values. All exercises are invitations, and you are always free to choose your level of participation.
This is a sober space.
This workshop assumes some prior familiarity with sex-positive or kink-informed spaces and consent-based group work.
What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for the workshop.
A non-messy food item you’d genuinely love to be fed (to be used on Saturday; something indulgent or deeply satisfying to you, in a container - no crumbs or very messy items)..
Outfit for the play space + favourite toys and safer sex supplies.
A towel or a sarong to cover the mattresses.
About the facilitator:
Lavinia is an architect turned facilitator interested in how environments shape what becomes possible in and between bodies.
As an architect, she built spaces for people to live in.
As a conscious kink facilitator, she designs spaces for people to feel alive in.
With a background in architecture, visual arts and urban planning, and later in organizational management, her practice is shaped by a long-standing interest in how environments (physical, social or emotional) structure what becomes possible within them. Today, she brings this spatial thinking into designing embodied group processes that explore intensity, sensation, desire, and the relational dynamics that emerge around them.
In her approach she weaves her own experience with chronic pain, ongoing engagement in kink and power exchange dynamics, and notions of exposure therapy, attachment theory and somatic work. But above all, she is interested in the body’s intelligence as a way to access information that often sits just outside language.
Lavinia’s work is driven by questions rather than answers. She is currently interested in facets of aliveness that might be difficult to look at directly: appetite, shame, hunger, and in what happens when these are allowed to exist without being immediately resolved or made fair.
