PROGRAM     PEOPLE     POLITICS

THE FUTURE IS NON BINARY

How often does this society make you believe that only men and women exist?

For us this happens on a daily basis: at toilets, at events when participants are divided into male and females, when being mis-gendered, on forms, in shops etc.

However, we want everyone to acknowledge that gender is a spectrum and not binary.

So we created this workshop to share with you educational content, personal experiences, reflection questions, and invite you to (embodied) exercises and sharings.

Our intention is that you gain new insights through self-reflection and not make this a 2 hour lecture - and ultimately create awareness and safer spaces also for gender-nonconforming community members.

Some of the topics

  • what is non-binary?
  • difference between biological sex, gender, expression, orientation
  • gender in our society - present and history
  • the importance of pronouns
  • we don't want to be fetishized
  • non-binary is not a trend.
  • the difference of not following typical gender roles
  • how to be a good ally

Please write us if you have specific questions that you would be interested in and we see what we include (momo@connectingpassions.de

We are aware that not everyone dived into this topic yet and want to share our knowledge from a place of compassion and not shame anyone. We are all here to learn - together.

For us it doesn't matter who you are, which community you are in, if you are usually a participant or a facilitator - we believe that through workshops like these we multiply awareness and create ripple effects also for others (e.g. those who are not yet able to speak up due to dangerous external factors).

We want everyone to be who they are, including you, however that feels right - and be accepted and respected for it.

So, see you Sunday evening the 15.5. at IKSK from 6 pm at “the future is non-binary”!!

We are looking forward to it!

Who are we?
Our common ground is that the 4 of us enjoy body - & sex-positive spaces. We are starting to create our own workshops in that context, here is a short intro to each of us:

Angel (they/them) wrote their thesis about the famous book from Judith Butler “Gender trouble”, which popularised the concept of gender as distinct from sex beyond other things…they identify as non-binary for as long as they got to know about the concept, and were non-binary before there was a concept for it. They are queer AF, quite sexpo and very kinky.

Dinah (she/they) wants to create a bridge between spirituality, sex- positivity and queerness. They are experienced in assisting and holding S+ spaces and did trainings such as the Shadow Tantra Training, ISTA Level 1 and a Dominatrix course.

Vinh (they/them) is a trans-feminine non-binary Person who is dedicated to creating experiences that plays with and deconstructs the binary through the application of tantric practices. Vinh has undergone trainings in a multitude of tantra institutes including Diamond Lotus Institut, Gay Tantra, and Spiritual Tantra.

momo (she/her/momo) is passionate about creating a more conscious yet playful society. momo started a one year PLAYBOOK project and knew that this topic and generally awareness has to be part of it. Beside that momo wants to create sober dancing events and retreats including a good portion of spiritual sassiness.

We feel excited that we come together this way now. Please invite your friends to create more awareness.

Your support is important to us <3
